December: Ta Go Sheng

Club selection of December 2015 - The remote area of Ta Go reaches northeast out of Menghai towards Pa Sa in southern Yunnan. This is a new offering from JalamTeas and the first of its kind from the reigion. It is another of ‘off the grid’ offerings. This wonderful tea has a little bit of similarity to many of the Bulang Mountains raw Puerhs: light bitter tangs that grip the mouth but that finish light and crisp in the mouth. Discover this Ta Go tea even further with Jeff.

Tasting Notes - A tea that is cultivated in very remote hills offers up a little delicate bite of vegetal flavours. Great humidity and low levels of pollution along with the famed soils make this tea a great tea for those who want to experience an authentic Puerh range. Finishing sweet in the mouth is important as it confirms a good production technique and skill level. Play with times and amounts with this tea.
