February: Meng Song (Unfermented)

Club selection of February 2013 - Meng Song Puerh tea is from the district and mountain of Meng Song that is one of the highest points in the famed tea stronghold of Menghai County in Xishuangbanna, southern Yunnan. The Hani (also known as the Akha in Thailand and Laos) minority populate and harvest the teas of Meng Song which grow in the isolated regions tucked away in China's southwest near Laos and Burma. The Hani of Meng Song have long used the Puerh leaves as a cure-all for fevers and as a tonic for the kidneys, pancreas, and liver. Discover Meng Song even further with Jeff.
