November: Manmai (Fermented)

Club selection of November 2014 - Manmai fermented (green) Puerh is a return to one of our most coveted regions, Bada Mountain, and a true ‘high mountain tea’. Manmai village is located in the Bada Mountain range and has fantastic conditions for producing superb teas. High humidity levels, mists that filter sun and rain and an almost wild aspect to the geography make this a “zone of perfect tea possibilities” according to a plantation owner friend of Jeff’s. Discover Manmai tea even further with Jeff.

Tasting Notes - Very smooth and easy on the digestive system, lacking much of the vegetal astringency of some Puerhs, this tea can do well with some slight variations on infusion times. Because it is so easy to drink increased infusion times (or amounts of dry tea leaves) can add some bite, while lesser times will keep this tea super-light and very easy on the stimulant kick.
