Club selection of September 2016 - Empty mountain corridors with great drainage and ideal humidity have long kept this sanctuary of tea long the Yunnan-Myanmar border ‘in the tea’, so to speak. From a raw natural standpoint, there are few better sources of tea in the world than the greater Bada Mountain Sanctuary. This tea has been sourced in Manmai, though Manmai is most often mentioned because of its massive old growth forest of ancient tea trees. The Hani caretakers of this region are proud of their consistent teas which sell out every single season. Discover this Bada Mountain (Manmai) tea even further with Jeff.
Tasting Notes - Bada teas tend towards clean and crisp vegetal notes that are clear and defined. Consistent leaves often crave a consistent serving style and pattern and Bada leaves are known for the multiple quality infusions possible with a single serving. Smooth and strong with some little tangs of herbaceous infusion make this tea for the now and “wait a few years” variety.
